IJOMCR Now Indexed in EMBASE (Elsevier)

We are delighted to announce that International Journal of Medical Case Reports (IJOMCR) (2455-0574) has been officially accepted for indexing in EMBASE, Elsevier's biomedical literature database, effective July 1, 2026. This has been confirmed in writing by Elsevier's Serial Content team.

Elsevier updates its public EMBASE source list bi-annually (January & July); indexed content typically becomes visible on the Embase platform within 2-3 weeks, with the public list expected to reflect this by late July 2026. Authors may rely on this announcement and the editorial office's written confirmation in the interim.

Authors publishing in IJOMCR from July 1, 2026 onwards will have their work indexed in EMBASE.

International Journal of Medical Case Reports (ISSN- 2455-0574) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal. It strives for the publication of high-quality case reports as well as case reviews in the field of medicine. All published papers are available immediately from the date of publication on the journal's website, with full and unconditional access for everyone to read.

We are also broadening the scope of the journal to include original research papers and meta-analyses, in addition to case reports and case series. The journal welcomes submissions across clinical and non-clinical subjects including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, forensic medicine, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, medicine including pediatrics, surgery including orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, radiology, dermatology, anesthesiology, ophthalmology, ENT, and preventive and social medicine.

IJOMCR not only aims to publish rare case reports but also rare presentations of not-so-rare cases. It particularly emphasizes case reviews, conference abstracts, interesting image-based short articles, and brief communications that are beneficial for other medical professionals. Our emphasis is on publications by residents and junior residents as they come across different cases during their residency.

To start with, IJOMCR will be published quarterly, with a goal to move toward monthly publication. Our emphasis is on the quality of papers rather than quantity. This journal strives to comply with requirements as prescribed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
