About IJOMCR
The International Journal of Medical Case Reports (IJOMCR), ISSN 2455-0574, is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed medical journal, indexed in EMBASE (Elsevier) with effect from 1 July 2026.
As an EMBASE-indexed journal, IJOMCR publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, case series, and case reports across the clinical and non-clinical medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, forensic medicine, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, general medicine, pediatrics, surgery and its specialties, orthopedics, psychiatry, radiology, dermatology, anesthesiology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, and preventive and social medicine.
Original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and case series published in IJOMCR fall within the article types recognised under the current National Medical Commission (NMC) publication criteria for faculty promotion in Indian medical institutions, the journal being indexed in EMBASE, an NMC-approved database.
All published articles are made available immediately and permanently on the journal website at https://www.ijomcr.net from the date of publication. The journal and its editorial board are committed to providing immediate, full, and unconditional open access to all published work for everyone to read, download, and share.
IJOMCR is published quarterly, in January, April, July, and October. The journal's emphasis is on the scholarly quality and methodological soundness of the work it publishes rather than on the number of papers. The evaluation and publication processes of IJOMCR conform to the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and to the publication ethics standards of COPE.
