IJOMCR has been accepted by Elsevier for EMBASE coverage effective 01 July 2026 and is currently undergoing content activation. The journal is awaiting inclusion in a forthcoming public EMBASE Source List. Authors submitting manuscripts for academic promotion should note that some institutions and regulatory bodies may require independent public verification of a journal's EMBASE status. Authors are therefore advised to consider their institutional requirements before submission.

The journal is currently undergoing content activation by Elsevier. The EMBASE Source List is published twice yearly (January and July), and the journal is expected to appear in a subsequent public source list following completion of the activation process ie in January 2027.
