HLA-B27 positive Uveitis, with Arthritis and Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections – A Case Report.

Abstract

Uveitis is known for its association with HLA-B27 as well as systemic autoimmune diseases including sarcoidosis and arthritis. However, association of uveitis with recurrent lower urinary tract infections without kidney disease or involvement is not established or commonly seen. Here is documented a case of an elderly female patient with multiple episodes of urinary tract infections, and uveitis, who was positive for HLA-B27 as well as markers of sarcoidosis.
